CGP was established in 1982 and began the journey with three partners from a wide variety of related industry backgrounds. We joined the Houston, Texas market and quickly became known as a quality manufacturer of pipe fittings for the chemical, petrochemical, pressure vessel, refinery, gas distribution, power and piping industries.
The name “CGP” comes from the first letter of the last names of the three original partners. Since then, all the original partners have passed or sold their interests to the current owner. The CGP name was associated with service, quality and integrity and since that tradition continues today the name was not changed.
CGP Manufacturing was purchased in 1992 by Steve Becker who operated the company until March of 2006 when he passed away. His daughter Michele, a long time employee of the company, being well versed in all aspects of the business decided to carry on the traditions that have made the company a major factor in the manufacturing community for the past 27 years.
Since taking the helm as President, Ms. Becker has purchased, rebuilt and incorporated adjoining properties into our existing structures making CGP Manufacturing a complete 27,000 square feet under-roof manufacturing facility! She also added a pipe lay down yard, additional employee parking, some CNC Vertical and Horizontal Automatic Machining Centers, 2 new, larger capacity box furnaces, a two ton overhead crane, automatic band saws and additional presses. The personnel necessary to manage, operate and maintain the expanded facility and equipment were also added.
We are pleased that you are considering us for your future requirements and promise to honor your consideration with outstanding customer service and the highest quality fittings available. Please call or e-mail us should you have any questions or require additional information.
